Explore the best neighborhoods in Mississauga
One of Mississauga’s oldest neighbourhoods, Cooksville is almost 200 years old and a favourite among first-time home buyers and new immigrants. It’s located in the centre of Mississauga and offers a good variety of properties including apartments, newly-built condos and duplexes, townhouses, detached houses, and bungalows.
It’s perfect for office commuters or anyone who regularly visits the City of Toronto and the Mississauga City Centre. You’ll find massive 20-50 years old apartments in the Hurontario and Dundas area, detached houses in Paisley and areas east of Hurontario, and stacked and freehold townhouses in the Clayhill area.
Cooksville is home to some of Ontario’s best schools including Port Credit Public Secondary School, Corsair Public School, and Clifton Public School. This neighbourhood might not have the best parks and trails but it ranks high on convenience. You’ll find a plaza with a grocery store, a bank, Dollarama, and a few restaurants every few hundred metres. Public transit in this area is excellent with buses every 20 to 30 minutes.
House prices in Cooksville are comparable to Mississauga’s average but you get better and faster access to amenities, major highways including 401, QEW, and 403. The neighbourhood has a mixed multicultural community spread over several age groups, making it perfect for young couples or retired couples.
